Refund policy

You have **7 days from delivery** to request a return, provided the piece is unworn, unwashed, with original tags attached and in original packaging. We'll refund to your original payment method within **3–7 business days** of receiving the return.

## What's returnable

✅ Unworn, unwashed clothing with original tags
✅ Items in their original packaging
✅ Items that don't fit, look different than expected, or arrived defective
✅ Wrong items shipped

## What's NOT returnable

❌ Innerwear, swimwear, hosiery, and socks (hygiene grounds)
❌ Pierced jewellery (hygiene grounds)
❌ Items marked **Final Sale** on the product page
❌ Items returned after the 7-day window
❌ Items worn, washed, altered, or returned without tags
❌ Items damaged after delivery (e.g. caught on a zipper at home)
❌ Items returned without the original packaging

## How to start a return

1. **Email us** at [{{ hellosigmascience@gmail.com }}](mailto:{{ hellosigmascience@gmail.com }}) within **7 days** of delivery with:
   - Order number
   - Item(s) you're returning
   - Reason (size / fit / defect / different than expected / etc.)
   - Photos if the item is defective or different than the listing
2. We'll confirm your return within **48 hours** and send a prepaid return shipping label OR arrange a courier pickup, depending on your pincode.
3. Pack the item(s) in the original packaging with tags attached.
4. Hand the package over to the courier OR drop at the designated counter (we'll share details).
5. We refund within **7 business days** of inspection on receipt.

## Return shipping costs

## Exchanges

We don't currently do direct exchanges — return the item for a refund and place a new order. This keeps things simple and faster overall.

If you want a different size and you're worried about stock running out, email us before initiating the return and we'll do our best to hold the alternate size.

## Refunds

- Refunds are credited to your **original payment method** (UPI, card, netbanking, etc.) via Razorpay.
- Refund timing depends on your bank — typically **3–7 business days** after we process it on our end.
- Original shipping charges (where applicable) are **non-refundable** unless the return is due to our error (defective / wrong item).
- COD orders (if/when offered) are refunded via bank transfer; we'll request bank account details over secure channels.

## Damaged or defective items

If your item arrives damaged or defective:

1. **Photograph the issue immediately** — within **24 hours** of delivery if possible.
2. Email [{{ hellosigmascience@gmail.com }}](mailto:{{ hellosigmascience@gmail.com }}) with the photos and order number.
3. Don't wash, alter, or repair the item — we need it in the received state for the return.
4. We'll arrange free reverse pickup and full refund (including any shipping you paid).

## Wrong item received

Same path as damaged / defective — email within **7 days** of delivery with photos. Free reverse pickup, full refund, and we'll get the right item out to you if it's still in stock.

## Refunds for cancelled orders: full refund, no questions asked. Email us within 4 hours of placing the order.
